Psychiatric Evaluation

Assess mental health and develop personalized treatment plans.

This thorough assessment helps in identifying mental health disorders and creating a personalized treatment plan, which may involve medication management, therapy, or other interventions to improve the patient’s mental health and quality of life.

Medication Management

We educate patients, monitor side-effects, and ensure compliance to prevent adverse drug events.

We evaluate the patient’s symptoms, medical history, and response to medications, making necessary adjustments to dosages or prescriptions based on the patient’s progress.

Support Therapy

This therapy involves creating a safe and confidential environment where you can openly discuss your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, we offer guidance, active listening, and practical coping strategies to help patients navigate difficult situations, improve emotional resilience, and enhance their overall well-being.

What Is OCD?

OCD is a chronic mental health condition marked by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) performed to reduce anxiety or prevent a feared outcome.

  • Obsessions are persistent, distressing thoughts, images, or urges—such as fear of contamination, harming others, or needing things to be symmetrical.

  • Compulsions are behaviors like excessive handwashing, checking, counting, or mental rituals performed to “neutralize” those obsessions.

OCD can disrupt daily life, relationships, school, and work—but treatment is highly effective when tailored to the individual.

Common Symptoms of OCD

  • Excessive cleaning or handwashing

  • Repeated checking of locks, appliances, or health symptoms

  • Counting or tapping rituals

  • Repeating words or phrases silently

  • Avoiding people, places, or objects that may trigger obsessions

  • Intrusive and unwanted thoughts, often disturbing in nature

  • High levels of anxiety when routines are disrupted

If these behaviors are time-consuming or interfere with your daily life, it may be time to seek professional help. At Blissz Psychiatry in Sugar Land, we understand the daily challenges of living with OCD and offer compassionate, personalized care to help you break free from intrusive thoughts and reclaim peace of mind.

There was a period in my life where I was all about sucidal thoughts. I had no family no friends, practically no one to talk to. So I saw her flyer and decided to call her. Ever since I attended her sessions, my life took a new turn.
